Guidelines & Important Numbers

Dear El Capitan Guests:

Welcome to the canyon. We’re happy to have you here with us. Please help us make your stay safe and comfortable by participating in the following guidelines.

Specific Accomodations

We are unable to guarantee specific accommodation numbers. However, we will do our best to provide you a cabin or tent style and general location based on availability.

Car-Free Canyon Policy

We have adopted a No Cars in the Canyon Policy. Your car must be parked in one of the parking lots during the duration of your stay. Please note canyon map or ask staff for locations and assistance.

Maximum Occupancy

Our rates are based on double occupancy (two adults plus two children 16 and under). Our accommodations are designed for a maximum family size of four. For families with three or more children, special arrangements and/or additional accommodations will be necessary.

Camping Tents

Because we provide our own tent and cabin accommodations, El Capitan Canyon does not allow the use of camping tents at our cabin or safari tent sites. Guests interested in true camping accommodations are welcome to contact our traditional campground, Ocean Mesa for reservations or dial 1-866-410-5783.

Registered Guest Policy

For the safety and enjoyment of El Capitan Canyon by all of our registered guests, we do not allow Non-registered guests access to the Canyon beyond the Canyon Market area without prior written approval from the El Capitan Canyon staff.

Check In Time

Check in time is 4pm.

Check Out Time

Check out time is 11am, please leave room key at the front desk before leaving canyon.

Quiet Time

To accommodate our guests, our Quiet Time begins at 10 pm.

Music

No amplified music is allowed in the Canyon. If your neighbor can hear your music it is too loud. Headphones are encouraged.

Pet Policy

In an effort to protect local wildlife, we have adopted a no pets policy throughout the entire Canyon.

Smoking and Fire

Due to the danger of wildfires, there is a no smoking policy for both the accommodations and the campground in general. Fire regulations dictate that there be no open flames in the tents or cabins, so please cook with an open flame outside only. A fire extinguisher is located inside each cabin and tent.

Wi-Fi Hotspots

Our Canyon Market and Canyon Pool feature Wi-Fi hotspot access.

Pool Hours

10 am to 10 pm. No lifeguard on duty. All glass and breakable items are prohibited in the pool area. Please observe safety signs.
